Talent alone is not enough

Talent is useless if you don't put in the necessary amount of work. Treat talent as what it is, a gift, and a sign to focus on a specific field. It's definitely not a bad idea to focus on that thing that you're naturally good at, but you won't get very far if you ignore all virtues that are necessary to excel in a specific field.
