Your mind is a garden, your thoughts are the seeds.
If you let other people plant those seeds for you, the garden, no matter how big or colorful, won't be yours, it'll be someone else's.
Your mind is a garden, your thoughts are the seeds.
What you think, you become.
If you watch videos, shows, and movies of people conforming to the status quo, you'll be much more likely to become a conformist too.
If you fall into the habit of reading pessimistic news, you'll suddenly start viewing the world through a very dark and gloomy lens.
If you let social media home feeds dictate what you watch or read each day, you'll be putting your mental sanity at risk.
What we consume deeply changes the way we think; therefore, what we consume dictates the decisions we make.
The small ones and the big ones.
And the underlying problem is that we aren't aware of this, as it's a very subtle process that compounds over time.
It's almost like a Trojan horse.
It enters your mind garden without you noticing.
And before you know it the intruders have planted hundreds of toxic weeds in your mind terrain.
We just convince ourselves that we've consciously planted those weeds when in reality we haven't at all.
Here's a powerful mantra.
"I won't outsource my thinking."
Don't let that popular influencer decide how you present yourself to the world.
Don't allow some generic business guru to decide what type of business you should be focusing on.
Avoid joining a movement without understanding its true agenda, especially if it promotes hate.
If we were picky with our external influences and we had a filtering system we would make very different decisions more aligned with our true selves.
Let me walk you through my simple filtering system.
Whenever I feel a strong urge to give in to a new trend or idea, I ask myself.
Where does this desire originate from?
Did I plant this seed myself or was it planted by someone else?
If yes, am I okay with that?
These three interconnected questions provide a clear insight into the inner workings of my mind.
Your mind is a garden, your thoughts are the seeds.
If you let other people plant those seeds for you, the garden, no matter how big or colorful, won't be yours, it'll be someone else's.
Great love and respect,
